The Translating and (re)creating conference will take place at Université Laval campus in Québec city in June 2027. Université Laval is the first French-language university in North America. It was founded in 1852 and welcomes 50 000 students every year.
The campus sits at the junction of the Nionwentsïo of the Huron-Wendat nation, the Ndakina of the Wabanaki people, the Nitassinan of the Innu people, the Nitaskinan of the Atikamekw people et the Wolastokuk of the Wolastoqey people. The territory on which Québec city was founded is a craddle of indigenous languages, cultures and identities. Today, it welcomes members of many nations, from territorial and urban communities.

Small individual rooms directly on campus, with private bathroom (superior and studio rooms) or shared bathrooms (standard room). 5-10 minute to the conference venue, either outside or through tunnels.

By plane
The Jean- Lesage (YQB) airport, in Québec, is an international aiport. It is a 15 minute car ride from campus.
By train
The Sainte-Foy train station is nearest to campus, but it is less accessible. If you wish to use public transport to get to campus, it is easier to get off your train at the Gare du Palais station. You will then be able to take the 800-805 RTC routes to get to campus.
By bus
The Sainte-Foy bus station offers transit services in the Québec province, as well as Ottawa and Toronto. It is a 15 minute public transit (805) ride to campus.
By car
Most of the conference activities will take place in the Charles De-Koninck buidling. Parking is available ($) 24/7 at the North-West entrance. Parking fees must be paid through the Copilote+ app in the App Store or Google Play store. For more information, visit this Université page.
By bus
Campus is very easy to access with the RTC public transport system. The major stops are pictured on this RTC map et Google Maps and CityMapper are usually reliable for route planning. You can pay your ticket in cash ($4, exact change), buy a temporary card at the RTC locations or use the RTC Nomade Paiement app.
